About Ignite Portland
If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only had 20 slides and each advanced automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.
On February 9, the Ignite Portland 10 will showcase 20 such talks at the Bagdad theater on Hawthorne Boulevard in SE Portland. Ignite Portland is produced by Stumptown Syndicate a small, local organization dedicated to technical education and community-building. They are an enthusiastic group of volunteers who take care of everything from theater booking to audio tech to video streaming to website work to beer wrangling and YouTube uploads.
