ECC's Curling 101 is a 5-week instructional league (for those who have attended a Learn-To-Curl) providing in-depth instruction in the basics of the sport with a goal of allowing students to join other leagues within the club and feel comfortable doing so.
The course will cover curling etiquette, roles, delivery, sweeping and strategy. The lesson series features both off-ice and on-ice instruction and some coached game-play. For the 2018-19 fall and winter sessions, Curling 101 will be combined with a novice league, where experienced players will help coach as they play.
Cost for an 11-week series is $257 per person or $213 for a 9-week series. No experience necessary, and the instruction presented in this league is appropriate for curlers with up to 2 years of experience. Lesson series are typically offered on Mondays from 7:15-10:00pm (or until people tucker out) or Sundays 11:15-2:00pm.
Completion of Curling 101 is recommended (but not required) before curling in a member league.
